Working as part of a small team, a high degree of flexibility is required. Duties: Sole responsibility for accounts to trial balance, VAT, Payroll (including Pensions), Cashflow, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control, Management Accounts and Reporting. Download bank statements. Update and reconcile cashflow report - distribute by e-mail. Post bank statement transactions to Sage & reconcile bank accounts. Input payments to Sage. Update current Debtors' report & distribute. Process incoming sales and renewals (on Sage, Web-Site, Traders' Details spreadsheet, and cashflow/debtors systems. Chase outstanding debts. Input purchase invoices and reconcile supplier accounts. Make payments as directed by the MD. Changing payment dates on existing payment plans. Updating records with name changes. Dealing with queries from traders and suppliers. Notifications of rejected payments etc. Process incoming direct debit receipts (reconcile to cashflow report, add unpaids to credit control report, update current Debtors' spreadsheet, and post to Sage. Payroll for approximately 22 staff. Calculating Sales commission. Checking and uploading pension file. Submitting RTI reports to HMRC. Making statutory payments to HMRC & others. Reconciliation of current Debtors' report to Sage. Management accounts reporting to MD & shareholders. VAT Returns. Payroll year end reports. Preparation of Sage accounts for year end. Preparation of annual report for shareholders including budget for following year. Supporting Admin Manager and Complaints Team as necessary. Other management accounting/reporting. Skills/Experience Required: A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role. Solid experience of Sage Line 50 and Excel including pivot tables and graphs. Experienced at producing VAT returns, payroll, cashflow and management accounts. Fast and accurate data entry skills. Ideal but not essential: Experience of working for a membership-based organisation. Experience of managing payments received by cards and direct debits.
