Assistant Payroll Manager opportunity available for an experienced candidate to join an established business in Sheffield due to the amalgamation of Payroll's and growth in business. The successfull candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 7 to success, managing the day to day function as well as: - Supporting the Head of Group Payroll and department to provide a quality service to the business - Providing expert advice and guidance in relation to Payroll legislation and compliance - Pension administration and governance - System Administration for the team and employees - Continuous improvement for processes and procedures for the department - Engaging with various departments to develop and implement business changes - Internal and external audit compliance - Resolving escalations to the highest standards of customer service The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a high volume Payroll environment and will have already led a similar sized team. You will have a strong knowledge of relevant Payroll Legislation and best Practices and will have the ability to complete month journals. Experience in i-Trent and a CIPP's qualification is desired but not essential
