Salary £40,000 - £45,000 Colchester Town Centre 3 month fixed term contract An established business in Colchester are looking for an Interim Accountant to support the finance department through a busy period. This position will report to the Director of Finance.
Responsibilities:
• Provision of assistance and expertise to complete the required suite of management reports for the Management Board and partners.
• Provision of clear reports to track various variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Updating of the fixed asset register, with reconciliations to the general ledger and actual physical assets.
• Reconciliation of VAT to the bills book, nominal ledger and control account.
• Preparation of VAT input and output schedules, filing and payment of quarterly VAT return.
• Checking and reconciliation of month end reports
• Monthly processing of payroll. The successful candidate will need a strong accounting background along with excellent excel skills, strong attention to detail and to be immediately available. The client is offering an excellent salary, a supportive team, good working environment with good public transport links to their offices.
