Assistant Finance Officer (Part time. 0.5FTE to be worked Monday to Friday, 12 month fixed term maternity cover) Context INTO is a partnership organisation working with some of the UKs leading universities in a unique initiative that improves their competitive position in international markets. In long-term joint ventures we deliver pathway courses for international students that lead to undergraduate and postgraduate study. INTO invests in state-of-the-art facilities to house the new INTO Centres, and in a global network that recruits students from many cultures. Requirements We are looking to appoint a temporary Assistant Finance Officer to further strengthen our Finance team based at INTO University of East Anglia for 12 months maternity leave cover. The post holder will be required to deliver effective administrative support and finance functions such as processing sales and purchase invoices, managing all aspects of daily petty cash requirements and communicating with students, overseas agents and marketing managers to resolve queries. The role involves a high level of interaction with international students so good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal sensitively with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds is essential. The ideal candidate will be approachable and friendly, be flexible and willing to undertake and learn new tasks and have the experience to deliver excellent customer service. The post holder must also have strong Excel spread sheet skills to an intermediate level e.g. formulas and vlookups. AAT qualification or equivalent and IT accounting system experience would also be an advantage.
