An exciting opportunity to join a firm that supports businesses through accountancy and related services such as bookkeeping, VAT and Tax and the other traditional services offered by Accountants Practices. Due to continued growth the Group are now seeking a new addition to our growing team, this vacancy will include ad hoc travel within the Group. You'll be reviewing tax computations around the Group - both personal and corporate. Helping managers with tax issues that they may have and talking to potential new clients. This is an opportunity to join an award winning group of Accountancy Practices that are Tax and Accountancy specialists. The group continues to grow year on year by acquiring new Practices mainly situated in the North East. The role will suit someone who is experienced within Practice with strong varied Tax skills and experience. About the role: You must have a good working knowledge of accounts preparation and computations of taxes with the ability to hit the ground running and assist with complex tasks. As a successful candidate you will also have:

• Drive & ambition with a high focus towards customer service. You must have good people skills, be highly organized and be able to work unsupervised to strict deadlines as part of a busy and friendly team. You must have a good command of the English language (both spoken and written) as the job involves writing of technical emails to clients. Benefits:

• Study support and competitive salary, dependent on experience ability and qualifications To manage a portfolio of clients. Answering queries both internally within the group and directly with clients in a timely and accurate manner. To undertake ad hoc tax projects/ advisory work either for the existing client portfolio in agreement with the relevant practice manager or CEO or for other clients as appropriate. Responsibility for managing all work and billing within a portfolio and project work, ensuring budgets are met. Assisting with tax advisory work. To provide advice and assistance to individuals within the practice as and when required. To keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and the application of this knowledge to client's affairs. To identify opportunities when reviewing client affairs and action these as appropriate. To develop others with technical ability as well as their general development. To develop relationships with clients to build networking skills and identify opportunities for other work within the group. To develop and maintain a close working relationship with clients. To understand their business, and to identify any opportunities for cross selling of other group services. To respect client confidentiality and report any issues which may affect client relationships to the CEO. To promptly report any concerns which may affect the firm's client relationship e.g. money laundering, unethical business practice, complaints etc Person Specification ATT and/or CTA qualified or experience equivalent with a detailed knowledge of UK tax legislation and implications for clients. Must be able to actively manage own workloads and take responsibility for own development. Must be able to demonstrate effective staff management and communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate effective client inter-personal skills including the management of client expectations. To ensure that all staff within his/her supervision receive effective job training and experience to compliment their studies, whilst at the same time meeting work priorities. Must be able to work well with other Managers/ Senior Managers and ensure the departments works well as a team.
