Group Internal Auditor £32000 Liverpool City Centre This is your opportunity to work with a Global City Centre company leading the way in its field. Operating across the globe with offices in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, United Sates, Singapore and China. You will assist the company to deliver high quality, value adding Audit Services to Senior Management and Board of Directors. This assurance will be provided in the relation to key areas including, compliance with Exchange requirements, corporate governance, risk management and internal control over business and operational risks, to support the business deliver an ambitious growth strategy. Duties & Responsibilities
• Monitoring compliance against the requirements of each of the respective commodity exchanges globally. The post holder will be required to devise and develop a suitable assessment methodology
• Develop and agree a risk based internal audit plan covering global operations and office facilities on a cyclical basis.
• Lead the scoping of specific process audits or regional operational audits following detailed risk assessments.
• Undertaking audit fieldwork that may include compliance assessment against regulatory controls as set by the respective Commodity Exchanges
• Asses head office and regional internal controls
• Document findings with various stakeholders including senior management, tom agree recommendations and implementation plans.
• Adhere to industry good practice as determined by IIA
• Undertaking due diligence and screening procedures for new customers, suppliers and vessels for the group
• Act as key contact with the screening software provider
• Continually develop and maintain the group risk register and provide input to the process
• When required undertake or support, investigative analysis into any incidents or issues across the group.
• Preparing reports and recommendations for any required corrective actions Essential Criteria
• A degree in Business /management or related discipline
• Institute of Internal Auditors accredited, or similar qualification
• Three or more years' experience of Internal Audit
• Proactive problem solving & strong communication skills
• Strong IT skills
• Willingness to travel overseas operations Desirable Criteria
• Degree in Logistics or related discipline
• Knowledge / experience of commodities warehousing and / or logistics
• Experience of working in a regulated sector
