Permanent, Full Time Salary £20,000-24,000 per annum (dependent on experience) full study support An award winning, contemporary, and highly commercial business based in Chichester which is currently flying performance wise We're seeking an ambitious, hands-on Accounts Assistant to join us in a newly created role. Several impressive years of growth mean this individual will be joining at a very exciting time and will quickly become an integral part of our dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed finance professional who's looking to quickly develop and progress their accounting skills in a modern, fast-paced environment. You will be rewarded for your hard work and dedication, and have the opportunity to study towards accounting qualifications with full support from your manager. This individual will report directly into a Finance Manager as part of a team of 3 in finance. They will also have a close relationship with the Finance Director and be both individual's 'go-to person' for assistance with new tasks. Due to the company's growth and upcoming business plans, it's likely that this finance team will continue to expand. Job spec: Daily import of bank transactions to Xero, and reconciliation of accounts to cash flow Management of bank transactions and payments in various currencies Purchase ledger; responsibility for invoice postings and supplier payment runs Maintenance of company cash flow forecast Liaising with other departments and reconciliation of their spending Liaising with International VAT agents and ensuring VAT payments are made within deadlines set Calculating cost of stock purchases from overseas suppliers in order to arrive at selling price To take on responsibility for more management accounting activities, budgeting and planning as experience and company grows Candidate requirements: Ideally AAT Level 2 or 3 qualified Prior experience in an accounts or office-based environment Excellent communication and able to deal with internal and external stakeholders Good computer software skills including Excel
