R13 are currently searching for an experience Finance Manager to join a leader training provider at their head office in Watford. The purpose of this role will be to provide financial management and control across the company, overseeing all financial functions and delivering accounts effectively and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a growing company in an excellent role that will expand upon your skills in a welcoming and supportive environment. Your duties will include: Responsibility for the production and submission of monthly management accounts. Daily treasury management including funding, statutory accounts and audit. Responsibility for the submission of VAT/PAYE/ other taxation matters. Budgeting - assisting in the preparation, development and production of the annual budget. Supervising grant payments to include grant account cash and liability reconciliation and invoicing. Managing the daily financial services including bought ledger, financial and capital accounting, income, credit control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, paymaster function and transaction processes to service level agreements. Managing and motivating the Finance team, providing support and opportunities for development. Regularly liaising with internal and external auditors, payroll bureau, HR department and other stakeholders. You will have/be: Previous experience in an accounting or management accounts role Experience working with education providers and ESF. Qualified to- ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent). Good interpersonal skills with experience of team management. Experience working with grants and bids. Strong communications skills with a demonstrable track record of excellent stakeholder engagement. High standards of numerical accuracy and work prioritisation. The ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail. The ability to critically analyse data and processes. Problem solving and decision-making skills The ability to work independently and on own initiative, within a team environment. Desirable: Previous experience working in Training, Education, Charity or Welfare to work sectors. This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch. The offered salary is £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience.
