An ACA/ACCA qualified accountant is required for a collaborative and team playing established accounting team in the centre of Hull. A salary of up to £43,000 is on offer for the right candidate whose background may well be straight from professional practice. THE ROLE: -A part of a busy, friendly team in a very collaborative organisation, the successful candidate will be involved in the monthly preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations, monitor and report monthly on budget and forecast variances and ensure financial controls are in place across the business -Monitor compliance alongside the Group Financial Controller, VAT reporting, provide insurance advice, company secretarial duties, provide audit advice and risk management processes -Provide assistance with management accounts, the budgeting and forecasting processes and take a lead role in the statutory accounts preparation -Assist with payroll audit checks, management of the AP and AR team leader, control and update the fixed asset register THE CANDIDATE: - You will be an experienced ACA/ACCA qualified accountant, possibly straight from professional practice and looking to make your mark in commerce or perhaps just looking for an upwards opportunity in a forward thinking and collaborative working environment. -You are a seasoned communicator, able to explain finance to non finance staff with clarity and understanding and have first class people skills both upwards and downwards -High standards of systems literacy are essential, particularly with Excel as is the ability to work in a very organised manner, handle projects well and to stay calm when the pressure is on -You are able to meet deadlines and encourage others to do the same with a cheerful and motivational style THE COMPANY: -My client is located in central Hull with good public transport and road links.
