We currently have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant or Cashier to join the central accounting team at the head office of this Milton Keynes based retail group. This Accounts Assistant or Cashier role can offer progression and a chance to work with a growing company and more importantly, a great team. So, if you are an enthusiastic person and who has excellent attention to detail, this is the role for you As the Accounts Assistant or Cashier, you will: Receive, sort and log daily banking from sites Complete daily banking posting sheets for allocated sites Correctly allocate payments against relevant outstanding SL accounts Reconcile cash suspense accounts Investigate and resolve queries quickly and efficiently Resolving internal queries professionally, quickly and efficiently Keeping all filing up to date Highlight to the Finance Manager and/or Group Financial Controller of any known financial risk to the business Ensure that all systems and procedures in place within the business comply with current legislation and Group policy As the Accounts Assistant or Cashier, you will have the following experience; We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational, communication and numeracy skills. A bright outgoing personality, the ability to work to strict deadlines and an eye for detail are essential, as well as the desire to do a good job. Ideally you will have recent experience of working in a similar role in an accounts department and have a good knowledge of operating computerised systems and spreadsheet applications. Good all-round ledger and cashiering experience is essential.
