Howarth Morris are recruiting a Finance Officer for a leading housing association operating in the Merseyside area. The role will be part of a friendly and supportive Finance team of 3 but part of a wider finance department. This role is a fixed term 12 month contract to cover maternity. Key
Responsibilities:
- Matching, batching and coding supplier invoices - Monitoring supplier accounts and actively communicating with approvers to ensure payments are made promptly - Reconciling batches and ensuring valid invoices are obtained before payments are released - First point of contact for Internal purchase order and invoice approval enquiries. - First point of contact for Supplier invoice and payment enquiries - Preparing cash received for banking, ensuring receipts are correctly documented. - Produce and distribute management information and reports - Assist where appropriate, other Finance & Procurement services - Assist the Finance & Procurement team in the preparation of annual financial statements Candidate Requirements: Our client wants to consider a range of applicants, however applicants must have some previous experience of Accounts Payable. Previous experience of operating in a similar profile role within the Housing sector would be beneficial but not essential. As the role involves liaising with a variety of teams, you must have strong communication skills. Strong MS Excel skills are advantageous and Open Accounts experience will be of particular interest.
