Management Accountant / Cost Accountant. South Cheshire, Qualified / PQ, £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. Excellent benefits. Based in South Cheshire /North Shropshire area, our client who is a well re-known and quality manufacturing business, is now seeking a Qualified or Part Qualified Manufacturing Management Accountant to join their expanding accounts team. This is a rare opportunity to work hands on with the dynamic management team and to be able to enhance the current business model. The Role We are currently looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. You will be a key member of the Finance team reporting accurate and informative information to various business functions. You will provide support for the management accounts function to drive the business forward. In further detail your key responsibilities will be to: Preparation of the management accounts. Complete periodic bank reconciliations and maintain the cash book Maintain the accounts. Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate the monthly depreciation charge Calculation of monthly prepayments, other debtors, accruals and other creditors. Assist the Financial Controller with preparing the monthly stock valuation. Assist the Financial Controller with preparing accruals/ promo retro funding/over-rider pots etc. with regular reviews with sales to ensure correct levels / releases etc. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system. Support the issue of the monthly board pack. Assist in maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions, including authority limits (POs, Capex & Contracts), authorisations and sign off's Support the calculation and issue financial and operating metrics. Support the production of the annual budget and forecasts. Support the system of management cost reports ensuring overheads overspends are monitored and appropriate follow-up actions take place. Issue a monthly capex monitor detailing the progress of capex projects, in terms of spends to date and spend to completion. Support the Financial Controller in maintaining a Bill of Materials, labour standards and overhead cost absorptions used for product costings and profitability analysis Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Support the coordination of information to external auditors for the annual audit Comply with government reporting requirements The Successful Individual To be successful in the role, you will have the following required skills, experience and knowledge: Full or Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA) Experience within a manufacturing business Experience in an accounts function- preferably experience of cost / margin accounting Numerate, methodical, controlled, accurate and attention to detail Intermediate MS Excel knowledge - V/H Look Ups, Pivot Tables Competent in other Microsoft office packages Previous ERP implementation skills would be an advantage System literate including ability to use different systems.
