Senior Payroll Advisor
About: A fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join a Payroll Team in Ipswich. The Senior Payroll Advisor will be responsible for ensuring an effective end to end payroll and pensions process and deputise for the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the day to day processing of the Payroll, T&A system and Pensions. To effectively coach and support the Payroll Advisors, sharing payroll knowledge and experience in the processing of monthly payrolls and pension schemes. To effectively manage the full end to end payroll process ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice methods are used; Working closely with Finance team to ensure costings are correct and BACs submissions are made on time to the agreed deadlines. Ensure HMRC and other third party deadlines are adhered to and any communications are effective and managed. Ensure the pension schemes are processed and compliant with pension submission deadlines. Managing onboarding of new payrolls to support company growth. Keeping the payroll system up to date through managed system provider updates. Skills and Experience: Experience of managing monthly payrolls for circa 4,000 staff Managing multiple payrolls with different pay dates Have an understanding of pension schemes and the ability to process different types of pension schemes, such as LGPS, Salary Sacrifice, NHS, etc. The ability to self-manage multiple deadlines Good working knowledge of payroll systems Effective communication at all levels, both written and verbal
