Payroll Manager (interim) - Nottingham - £30,000 - £35,000 Chase and Holland are working with a highly successful business in the Nottinghamshire area who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced standalone Payroll Manager on a 4-month contract. This is a challenging role that needs someone with a solid background in Payroll to accurately manage the payroll and administrative activities for 400 employees. You will also ensure the European payrolls are processed (via third party bureaus). Payroll Manager

responsibilities:
Data entry and administration of all payroll related activities to ensure an efficient, confidential and accurate payroll process. Be the first point of contact for payroll and admin queries via phone, email or face-to-face. To provide advice and guidance to managers and the wider HR team to ensure the processing of payments, allowances and benefits are in line with the relevant legislation. To ensure accurate and timely payment of employee business expense reimbursements and sales commissions. Ensure all payment to third parties (including HMRC, Pension providers, Private Medical Insurance provider and other benefit providers) are made accurately and on time. Ensuring Full Payment Submissions and Employer Payment Summaries are made to HMRC on a timely basis. Ensuring BACS files for the payment of employees are appropriately approved to deadlines Complete auto enrolment processing and pension compliance. Calculate Maternity/Paternity/Shared Parental leave. Calculate Statutory Sickness Pay & holiday pay. Liaise with the international payroll providers to ensure they have visibility of the international payrolls. Assist with employee related submissions to the Office for National Statistics. Any other ad hoc duties as requested. Key Requirements and Preferences: Hands on approach with at least 5 years Payroll experience. Detailed payroll knowledge sufficient to calculate Tax, NI, SSP and SMP, deal with complex employee pay queries and manage the year end payroll process. Management of flexible employee benefits.
