This is a rare & exciting opportunity for an experienced and Qualified Tax Professional to join a £7Bn t/o global market leader as Tax Lead for the groups EME & CIS Regions (10 Countries). Reporting directly to EMEA Tax Manager, this is a broad & autonomous role responsible for the management of all tax affairs of all EME and CIS regional businesses, ensuring ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and Group policies/procedures across the region. In this high profile role you will provide strategic tax advice to the business as well as implementing the tax strategy for the region, with your duties including: - Ensuring regional compliance to Group Tax Standard, Tax Procedures & Tax Guidelines. - Assisting the EMEA Tax Manager with the development and implementation of the tax strategy for the region. - Recommending tax planning opportunities in the region to EMEA Tax Manager, including restructuring of affairs to ensure legislative compliance and compliance with the Tax Standard. - Day to day management of all tax audits & disputes in the region. - Identifying risk areas and proactively manage the issues to mitigate issues identified. - Providing clear tax advice on all structuring, acquisition & divestment activities in region as directed. - Ensuring the tax obligations & tax laws in all countries in region are complied with for direct and indirect taxes. - Direct accountability for income taxes and indirect taxes. - Managing the regional transfer pricing program for documentation & strategy. - Providing advice in region on cross border transactions. - Managing the day to day relationship with revenue authorities and external advisors for the region. - Managing the tax effect accounting for the region, including management of tax losses, efficient repatriation of profits, tax efficient structures & thin capitalisation as required. - Implementing & monitoring effective tax risk management strategies for Europe & CIS. - Maintaining the regional tax risk register. - Keeping up to date with legislative changes for the region, understanding, managing and communicating the impact of changes to interested stakeholders. - Proactively manage any changes required as a result of legislative changes. - Ensuring all tax compliance obligations for the region are lodged, and paid, on time and in compliance with local requirements. Coordinate finance staff and/or external service providers to achieve this. - Assisting the EMEA Tax Manager with developing the regional tax data analytics and reports. - Demonstrating continuous improvement in tax compliance and tax reporting functions. Applicants will be Qualified ACA or CTA Tax Professionals with thorough knowledge of corporate tax, transfer pricing, tax treaties, income source rules and VAT principles, ideally gained within a similar profile role for an International business or through having worked for an International accounting practice (Big 4 ACA preferred). You will have experience in international tax law, IFRS tax reporting, tax compliance controls & governance and will be familiar with dealing with tax issues for multiple countries. SAP & Hyperion experience would also be advantageous. A competitive salary is complemented with benefits including Bonus (10%), Family Healthcare, 25 days holiday, 3% Pension, 0900-1700 Mon - Thu with an early finish on a Friday. Due to the nature of this role there will be some (very limited) travelling to the operations across Europe as necessary.
