Are you an experienced within a Commercial Environment within financial services background now looking for a new challenge? Belmont Green Finance t/a Vida Homeloans is the modern mortgage lender for residential and buy to let customers who may not fit the criteria currently demanded by high street banks. We use the latest technology to support and inform human decisions, providing intermediaries with a quick, efficient, and reliable service. Role Purpose: Responsible for a variety of tasks to generate value for Belmont Green Finance Limited (BGFL), helping guide the business through its commercial landscape via the product development roadmap, identification of new market opportunities or trends, and determine the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer/client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities : Drve and propose commercial initiatives to promote growth/forward trajectory, generating revenue and sustainable growth. Always consider regulatory, cultural, and customer outcomes in any initiatives. Book/flow management: manage yields to ensure lifetime return challenges are overcome, and obstacles avoided. Deliver both forward looking and retrospective analytical insight into BGFL lending activities. Identify opportunities or potential risks and recommend actions to forums and the product team. You will be resposnible for analysing competitor products, investor reports & propositions to understand their credit and pricing strategies, profit drivers and performance. Able to Identify areas of caution or opportunity. Good Stakeholder Management, this role will be working closely with the Capital Markets and Credit to understand potential commercial opportunities with funding partners or investors. Integrate with Product & Sales teams to identify opportunities for profitable growth and help steer the right tactical and strategic priorities for delivery. Ensure outputs of regular external intermediary visits or 3rd party events are fed into Treasury and future proposals. Take additional input from key stakeholders across Treasury, Credit Risk, Finance, and New Lending Operations. Help the business understand the opportunities, segments, size and profitability within the markets that BGFL operates in (or may wish to operate), utilising research where appropriate. Play an active role in determining our retention strategy with key stakeholders (Credit Risk/Treasury/Operations/Customer Management/Sales & Marketing). Develop frameworks to allow for consistent proposals (including comparisons/analytics/ segmentation/intermediary share of market), and broader analysis packs on the wider market (e.g. including prime, challenger banks, building societies, housebuilders etc). Skills and Experience Required (or desired): Market knowledge - Understand the specialist market and its segmentations in detail. This should be through experience and analysis in the space. Product, Analytics and Portfolio Management - The ability to feel comfortable with detailed behavioural analysis of the mortgage book or opportunities. With the overriding theme of protecting and generating yield. This should include detailed analysis of market competitors' products and Vida's own products and the impact on volume via pricing and credit risk and understanding interest and swap path movement is also critical. Research and Development - The ability to analyse and understand the specialist mortgage market to predict and direct new product development. The candidate may have a preference for modelling and statistical techniques (hence the analyst option in the job title), which will be a benefit to help drive business cases or identify quick opportunities. Communication - Strong ability to communicate clear, concise, compelling product proposals to senior colleagues and shareholders in a way that gives them confidence and garners their support for key initiatives.
