Up to £50K BenefitsBadenoch Clark Housing Team are proud to be partnering with a thriving G15 housing association based in Central London to appoint a Senior Subsidiary Accountant within the group accounting team. Our client is one of the leading providers in supplying communities with affordable housing across London.The RoleReporting directly to the Head of Group Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for the statutory accounting under FRS102 and Housing SORP 2018 for our group subsidiaries, including production of annual Financial Statements as well as monthly financial information, reviewing performance against the annual budget and quarterly forecasts. You will maintain accurate accounting records and control the relevant systems to ensure integrity and consistency of information. You will play an integral part of the annual Group audit of these entities and will need to work collaboratively across the Finance department, wider business and with external auditors to ensure a smooth and successful year end process. You will be able to provide technical expertise and knowledge, interpreting the relevant accounting standards and applying them, selecting appropriate accounting policies, whilst being able to explain these in a simple and understandable way. To take advantage of this opportunity you need to be a flexible, self-motivated individual who is keen to learn and improve on current processes, whilst being able to meet the following criteria: Be a qualified CCAB accountant, with evidence of statutory financial accounting in a corporate entity, and preferably with some Group consolidation experience or experience from within practice. Experience in statutory accounts preparation is essential, while external audit experience is desirable (particularly in Housing or Construction industry) Have excellent technical accounting knowledge and an understanding of IFRS and FRS102 to interpret against complex transactions, discuss with auditors, and practically apply technical skills Proven and applied knowledge and understanding of regulations relating to statutory accounts Produce accurate information and reports Senior Executives, with experience in management accounting Be an excellent communicator with sound presentation skills and the ability to influence people at senior levels Have a proven track record of ability to manage projects and provide support to senior staff General understanding of taxation matters affecting the Group and application of deferred tax accounting.Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceSuccessful delivery of Statutory accounts within a regulated environmentIdeally experience from with Public Sector, Government or Housing exposure Educated to degree level Fully Qualified AccountantYou will have professional gravitas to influence stakeholders at a senior level and generally strong skills in negotiation and persuasion.
