We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant on behalf of an award-winning developer specialising in international housing and infrastructure projects. As part of a friendly and industrious team, you will play a key role within the finance function, working closely with the Group Financial Controller producing accurate financial and management accounts enabling the company management team to make sound commercial decisions. Duties and
responsibilities:
Analysis of data from the ERP system to ensure costs are correctly allocated to the relevant projects Management of in country stock reports and ensuring that they match to the company ERP system Produce month end and year end journals Ensure that international payments are accurately processed and ensure that the bank account details are sought and checked prior to making payments Manage capital expenditure Balance sheet accounts reconciliation Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis with commentaries Undertaking financial administration and liaising with external auditors Bank Reconciliations for various currency accounts Supervising and managing the outsourced book keepers and the purchase ledger team Ensure Chart of Accounts is maintained Liaise with in country finance team to ensure intercompany accounts are reconciled on monthly basis Accountability for cash flow and production of forecasts Assessment of monthly expenses, ensuring that they are accurately processed VAT return for group Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process Daily group cash forecasting Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations Skills and experience required: CIMA / ACCA qualified or currently studying (the company will encourage and support further study for the right candidate) At least 3 years career background of working within a similar position Strong people management skills Confident Sage user (ideally Sage 200) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Enjoys taking ownership of tasks and working with a self-motivated and enterprising approach Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm Friday 8.00am - 2.00pm Salary and benefits: £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience On-site parking Discretionary bonus scheme 20 days annual leave 8 bank holidays
