Business Analyst Department: Insolvency Investment Services (ISS) Reporting To: Director of Operations and Strategy
Salary:
£45 - £55k plus bonus and generous Benefits package Our client is an industry leading FTSE listed Financial Services group headquartered in Central London with a global presence in over 30 countries across 6 continents. General Responsibilities The Business Analyst is required to support the Director of Operations and Strategy on all matters concerning the ISS department as well as other projects amongst the group. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Posting payment, event and other data files to the database and ensuring integrity of data Attend and provide feedback in weekly calls with the company's third-party services Creating, testing and implementing new procedures and programmes related to both internal and third-party processes Complete analysis of Insolvency Practitioner reconciliation files and use this information to maximise cash returned to the company Send out and collate results of research sent to the company's IVA Servicers and Insolvency Practitioners. Enhance processes using the results of this research. Provide analytics in support of the Director of Analytics. This will relate to new portfolio bids an analysis of performance of existing portfolios where the candidate will be expected to take responsibility for improving deal performance. Match new sale files to the Individual Insolvency Register and to the current database to confirm account statuses in preparation for pricing. Key interactions The ideal candidate is expected to work closely and directly with other departments of the company, third party services and insolvency practitioners. PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications: Educated to degree level is a preference. Experience: Relevant experience in a 'middle-office' or analytical role. A working knowledge of the consumer credit / debt-purchase is helpful but not essential. Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of SQL database query skills as well as intermediate knowledge of excel is mandatory Soft skills required: The candidate must be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills. It is important that the ideal candidate is willing to tackle a breadth of projects and develop a skill for time management and prioritisation.
