For our client one of 20 the top global pharmaceutical companies we are currently looking for the Assistant Financial Accountant: Purpose of the role: As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for, and typical activities will include: To assist the financial accountant in the preparation of monthly financial reports and carry out other activities at the direction of the financial accountant To undertake professional studies and exams as appropriate to maintain/build financial expertise and remain current. Carry out the monthly PSA analysis of the expense codes within SAP alongside fellow assistant financial accountant. Prepare the year-end PSA submission for review by financial accountant and external advisers. Carry out the corporation tax analysis for APL alongside fellow assistant financial accountant. Work alongside fellow assistant financial accountant to carry out the COPA transfer pricing allocation. Ensure all intercompany transactions are recorded on SAP and investigate to make sure that all balances with affiliates are reconciled on a monthly basis Carry out the fixed asset accounting on a monthly basis Monthly analysis and reconciliation of the various control accounts in the general ledger (credit cards, intercompany, accruals and prepayments). Filling out National Statistic forms and reports. Troubleshoot issues relating to vendors alongside specified point of contact within FSSC. Assist compliance accountant with the new vendor set up process Assist the financial accountant with any VAT/CT audits What we look for in you: Essential Skills and Knowledge Proven experience in financial and accounting environment Robust experience and competency using Hyperion, SAP and EBP products Advanced expertise using MS-Office product range particularly Excel advanced Strong Book keeping skills Highly numerate/data literate Proven expertise in utilising MS Office and various databases (typing, input, updating, reporting). Desirable Skills and Knowledge Pharma sector experience also useful but not essential Knowledge of Hyperion, SAP and EPB products Qualifications Degree educated with ACCA/CIMA professional qualification (part-qualified/studying) Reward and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary at all levels and one of the best benefits package in our sector.
