Orka Financial is currently working with a client based in Reading which is looking to hire a Financial Reporting Manager on an interim basis. The role will bridge the gap between the current incumbent leaving and a new permanent hire joining. We expect the role to last for a minimum of three months but with other projects on the horizon, it could quite easily extend to six. In order to be considered for the Financial Reporting Manager role you will need to be ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified with experience of pulling together month end accounts and a good track record of working to tight deadlines. You will be the go-to person on all technical accounting matters, therefore strong IFRS and UK GAAP experience is essential. As you would expect, good Balance Sheet reconciliations, Corporation Tax and Audit experience from preparing statutory accounts and dealing with auditors are all key elements to this role. Whilst not managing a team directly, you will be the most senior person in a team of four with a direct link the the Financial Controller.
