Commercial Finance Analyst Paying £40,000 - £50,000 Bonus and benefits Northampton Permanent Investigo are delighted to be partnering with the Finance team at Drax, the FTSE Energy Company. Their retail division, Drax Customers, is going through an exciting period of change and transformation. We are working with Drax Customers to create a high-performing finance team based in their modern Northampton office. Responsible for provide financial analysis to support development and delivery of; management reporting, financial business plans, new products, services, change programmes Key Accountabilities: Provide analysis of monthly results to enable management to understand business performance, risks and opportunities and areas of under/ over performance, including; activity, expenditure, trends, bench-marking and variations to planned levels Provide analytical support for customer bids, product development, supplier tenders, investments and business change initiatives, testing assumptions and identifying key sensitivities Provide analysis to support the on-going financial planning processes identify and testing appropriate assumptions. Work with the Accounting & FPA teams to ensure delivery of timely information on financial performance, risks and opportunities Develop successful working relationships across the business and wider finance team, which promote trust and confidence in the ability of the finance department to provide high quality information and analysis Work collaboratively with other members of the finance team to ensure consistency of process and approach on all financial matters. Knowledge, Skills and Experience required: Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA Commercial awareness - Understands and applies financial and commercial principles. Views issues in terms of costs, profits, markets and added value. Problem solving and analysis - Analyses issues and breaks them down into their component parts. Makes systematic and rational judgements based on relevant information. Creativity and innovation - Creates new and imaginative approaches to work-related issues. Identifies fresh approaches and shows a willingness to question traditional assumptions. Oral communication - Speaks clearly, fluently and in a compelling manner to both individuals and groups. Persuasiveness - Influences, convinces or impresses others in a way that results in acceptance, agreement or behaviour change. Personal motivation - Commits self to work hard towards goals. Shows enthusiasm and career commitment. Self-starter and willing/able to drive and manage own workload. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook - Intermediate level Microsoft Excel - Advanced.
