Accounts Assistant - Hotel in Reading - £28 000 - Meals ON Duty My client hotel is based in Reading and they are now looking for an experience Accounts Assistant As Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for the tasks within Accounts Payable, processing supplier invoices, monthly supplier payments and reconciliation of our ledgers with Supplier statements. You w ill also be responsible to reconcile daily revenue paid via various means of payment (via Credit card, debit card and cash), process daily banking, preparation monthly payroll, assist with credit control and assist with day-to-day operations of the finance department, including filing. Primary Responsibilities of Accounts Assistant Daily Revenue Reconciliations and Banking Daily Revenues are reconciled against with 3rd party card companies i.e. Worldpay and Amex. Cash is banked on daily basis Preparation of weekly revenue journals Ensure that Guest Ledgers are reconciled with Hotel in-house systems Accounts Payable Coding and processing Supplier invoices onto the accounting system Prepare and processing monthly supplier payments using BACS system Reconcile Supplier statements against our records Keeping up-to-date records of Purchase Orders Petty Cash Reconcile monthly petty cash expenses Cash Floats Ensure that all cash floats are reconciled weekly Payroll Preparation of weekly payroll schedule from daily timesheets for monthly submission to 3rd Party processing team Assist with keeping the staff personnel files up-to-date Keeping accurate records of staff holidays and absence Filing/Archiving of HR and payroll information Processing monthly salary payments via BACS System Credit Control Assist the team for collecting debt in an efficient and effective manner to reduce the debtor days to an acceptable level Ideal Candidate They are looking for someone who is keen to progress and develop within the account department and with excellent excel and communication skills . It would be preferable but not essential for the candidate to have experience using SUN .
