Supervise the purchase ledger function, ensuring a regular review and appraisal of the function to ensure the key objectives of the department are met and necessary improvements are implemented. Appropriate involvement in any PL related projects around system improvements & implementation. Obtain bank details from new suppliers to ensure payments can be made accurately via the BACS system. Update cash books with payment runs and manual cheque payments. Oversee the process & review of weekly payment runs. Reconcile supplier accounts. Ensure time-critical payments are made without delay.
