Accounts Assistant Hitchin Permanent £20,000 - £25,000 My client based in Hitchin are currently recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to come and play a big part in their small accounts function. You will be working alongside an experienced Accountant so this is a great opportunity to gain experience in your finance journey Main Duties: Entering invoices onto the cloud accounting software, ensuring invoices are analysed and coded correctly, bank statement reconciliation across multiple accounts Petty cash reconciliation, reviewing and processing company expenses Allocation of customer receipts and investigation of unallocated receipts and chasing unpaid invoices Raising payments for authorisation Reconciliations of key supplier accounts and customer invoicing Liaison with the company's suppliers to ensure that products are sourced and priced as effectively as possible Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and other returns to HMRC Processing data for payroll Reconciliation of supplier accounts on accounting software Process and reconciliation of credit card payments, petty cash transactions Perform weekly bank reconciliation and other finance and admin tasks as required We're looking for someone to ideally start ASAP - a fast forward thinker with great attention to detail. You will also have exposure to SAGE or Xero.
