Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Team Hertfordshire £28,000 - £31,000 per annum benefits Our client provides simple, employee-focused solutions designed to boost employee engagement across a variety of sectors in the UK. The development of the Finance function and this latest hire of a credit controller / accounts receivable is a key part in supporting that growth. Purpose: Delivering timely and accurate invoicing to clients Build and maintain strong relatinships with the Finance departments of our clients to help ensure timely invoice settlement. Maintain control and visibility of our trade debtors through effective reporting. Assisting in the development of finance platforms and systems Helping to provide and communicate timely and accurate information to management to aid decision making. Core Responsibilities Calculation and compilation of invoices for clients. Payment assurance: monitoring & following up with clients Bank reconciliation relating to client payments Bookkeeping: Positing journals to Sage relating to invoices and related payments Client Suitability Assessment: Conducting and analysing credit check & cash flow forecast Work with the team Manager and with Sales to adjust commercials accordingly and ensure risks identified during the client suitability assessment are understood & escalated Credit control reporting: producing reports for communication to management. Analysing same to help management make informed decisions Additional Opportunities Assisting in the development of finance processes. We have recently implemented SAGE-50 as well as core processes to deliver the day to day deliverables above. The right candidate has the opportunity to become involved in developing these and making a real contribution to the way the department is run. Help establish and maintain robust controls, accounting policies and best practice within the finance team. Core Competencies The company seeks a Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable Team Memeber who demonstrates the following: AAT qualified Part qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or international equivalent Minimum 2 years in a similar function, ideally within a professional services or comparable organisation. Strong technical accounting skills in respect of Credit Control & Accounts Receivable Excellent Excel skills and proficient in the general use of MS Office You value systems and have a demonstrable track record of enhancing processes and continuous process improvement. You are proactive, a hard worker and thrive in a growing, changing environment. Desirable Experience in Sage 50 Accounting Ability to liaise confidently with a variety of clients.
