What you’ll do
We are looking for a confident individual who wants to progress their Finance career at Veolia. You must have a strong attention to detail and a willingness to adapt and learn. The successful applicant will be involved in various aspects of the Financial Planning and Analysis function as well as gaining exposure to Senior Finance.
Your principle responsibilities will be to assist with the compilation of the monthly management accounts and annual Budget and Forecast process. Alongside the Senior Management Accountant, you will act as an interface between the Public & Commercial business, Business systems team and the Central Finance team.
Core responsibilities will include:
Month End
- Assist in the coordination and compilation of the UK & Ireland monthly accounts pack, working with the rest of the team to ensure that deadlines are met
- Preparing and analysing monthly operational KPIs including: fuel, materials and electricity
- Review and report on key financial data and review variances against prior year and budget
Budget & Forecast
- Assist with the planning of the UK & Ireland Forecast & Budget( including timetable & instructions)
- Check the integrity of data received and provide feedback to the business
- Assist in the compilation & formatting of the budget pack and provide ad hoc analysis, as directed
- Creating templates to standardise reporting and assisting the business in regional Budget reviews with the CEO
- Be a key point of contact for queries in relation to the Budget & Forecast process.
Systems & Reports
- Preparation of reconciliations and data checks across key business intelligence tools
- Liaising with IT to resolve finance data system issues
Other
- Office of National Statistics Survey completion
- Preparation of ad hoc presentations and analysis for internal & external use by the CFO
- Assistance in preparation of annual bonus calculation
The experience you will need
You will have a University degree or/and Business school or / AAT (level 4 completed and be studying towards or/ Part-qualified CIMA / CA / ACCA (or international equivalent)
Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs), strong systems knowledge (in particular exposure to SAP, Cognos (TM1), would be advantageous however training will be given.
Experience in using G Suite ( including Google Sheets, Slides & Docs), a confident communicator and team player with strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to problem-solve.

The Management & Cash Control Team form part of the Central Finance Team at our Head Office in London, based at 210 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9JY. We are responsible for internal reporting both to the UK and Paris Executive.
