BTG Recruitment is working with a highly acquisitive PE backed business in Nottinghamshire, the business is highly regarded in the market and is looking for an ambitious Senior Commercial Accountant to join the business. You'll be supporting the Group Finance Director in preparation of board meetings, you'll be trusted to deliver vital insight and ideas, the rewards for this will be the exposure you will gain to senior management/board level decision makers for this rapidly growing £40m venture. Responsibilities:
Working with various functional areas within finance and the wider business to ensure the delivery of high-quality management information Working with the Operational teams to add value and increase EBITDA Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of queries Understanding the key drivers of the business to provide insightful financial information Preparation of monthly reports, including commentary and analysis Preparation and delivery of the Board Pack Preparation of budgets and forecasts Ideally experience of WIP and contract accounting Managing the accurate and timely accounting of all transactions Skills required: CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Experience of dealing with external and internal auditors and preparing any required analysis Ability to understand and explain complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition Have the drive for continuous improvement in all aspects of your role and career Ability to build effective working relationship key stakeholders within the company Strong Excel skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills You'll sit aside a central finance team who will focus on the operational finance, this role is a true commercial role where the emphasis is to deliver enhanced profit.
