Millennium & Copthorne Hotels is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Team in London. The Finance Analyst is responsible for the c ollating and consolidation M&C hotels financial data & information, providing strategical insight and analysis and recommendations to the region. Key responsibilities as Finance Analyst include: Actual, Forecast, Budget, Debtors and Weekly Revenue Statistics consolidation for distribution to Senior Management. Production of financial information for Ad-hoc requests. Production of financial statistics for sending to 3 rd Party companies on monthly basis. Collation of data for inclusion in Board Papers. Extensive use of excel and financial consolidation database Frango. Some Excel use involves graphical analysis and also building of reports which are distributed for the purpose of completion by hotels and subsequent analysis. To identify and follow up variances and anomalies in submitted data with regional finance teams. Produce written reports to summarise and explain monthly variances by region. Maintenance of all Group reporting spreadsheets. To assist in potential design, implementation and roll out off new Group financial reporting software. QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATION Qualified Accountant with financial accounting background preferred. Experience of GL (MGP experience would be of advantage, but not essential). Experience of Group reporting packages (Cognos Consolidator or Frango experience would be of advantage). Previous experience of Head Office management accounting within a service industry would be an advantage. Hotel and leisure experience would be an advantage. Intermediate level with Excel or similar (ability to extract and manipulate data, link spreadsheets, use of pivot tables and use of advanced formulae including macros). Previous experience of providing analysis of key facts, features and trends from review of financial data and commentary for a multi site international group.
