ï»'A well regarded Financial Services company is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their dynamic finance team.ï»' Responsibilities
• Project structuring and delivery; work with senior colleagues to assist clients on scoping and developing projects through full life cycle. This work may include cost benefit / effectiveness evaluations, determining project requirements and objectives, commercial advice, financial modelling (refer below), risk assessment, contract development (refer below), financial evaluations and contract close negotiations. In the case of PPPs, concessions and/or joint ventures, the role will also require engaging with prospective funders and negotiating and agreeing funding documentation.
• Financial modelling; to prepare whole life financial models for infrastructure projects and develop payment mechanisms for individual projects.
• Contract development; to prepare financial requirements for procurement/legal documentation for projects such as pre-qualification questionnaires and tender documents.
• Funding market engagement; maintain active engagement with debt / equity funding markets for capital projects.
• General advisory work; undertake general financial advisory and evaluation work on behalf of key stakeholders as required, including financial statement analysis, financial robustness assessments, market analysis and options analysis.
• Reports / memos; prepare reports and memos for senior management on a wide variety of issues. Requirements
• Third level degree.
• Chartered membership of relevant professional body or equivalent desirable.
• Have at least 2 years post qualification experience.
• Previous experience working in financial advisory and/or banking desirable. Skills
• An effective and confident communicator of complex messages (written and verbal) to both internal and external audiences.
• Good interpersonal skills and a positive team member.
• Commercially minded, decisive, highly organised, committed and principled.
• An ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, deal with conflicting agendas and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical skills, together with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
