Start People are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of a leading manufacturing business, based in the Altrincham area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a finance team of 3, reporting into the Group Finance Director and carrying out the following duties: You will be responsible for:
• Participating as a key member of the Site Management Team.
• Being the senior finance lead on site, ensuring compliance to standards, routines and rituals
• Producing timely & accurate daily, weekly & monthly site P&L's.
• Production of monthly/quarterly/yearly forecasts & annual budgets for the site.
• Preparation of management accounts
• Working with the Site Director and Management Team to manage spend and improve efficiencies Person Requirements:
• CIMA or ACCA Qualified (or equivalent) with relevant work experience, ideally gained in an SME manufacturing environment
• Experience gained as a Finance Manager/Financial Controller etc.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into analysis / information which enable users to understand business performance and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels
• Good negotiation and influencing skills
• Disciplined and organised with the ability to work under pressure
