My client is an established North East business looking for an ambitious and inquisitive Assistant Management Accountant who can challenge the status quo. Ideally AAT qualified (or working towards qualification), or a finance degree. You will be a key part of this small finance team and therefore essential to the success of the team and overall business. Day-to-day: -Input into the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual accounts, various ad-hoc reports, etc -Propose and input adjustments to accounts -Input into the reconciling and rolling forward fiscal years -Input into annual budget upload and reconciliation -Execute reconciliations and controls, contribute to design -Assist with various ad-hoc projects -Advocate existing internal controls and identify opportunities for improved controls Criteria: -You will enjoy working in a diverse role operating across varying sectors -AAT qualified/working towards or finance-related degree -Microsoft Office competent - particularly Excel -Prioritize and work to deadlines -Willingness to learn and keen to improve and progress
