Highly regarded organisation based near Helston, Cornwall are looking to recruit a permanent Financial Analyst. They are looking to recruit a motivated, dynamic and numerate individual, of graduate ability , to join our company as a financial Research Assistant. More specifically, this role involves full technical support to one of our Financial Advisers and Directors. Prior experience/qualifications not necessarily required as training will be provided, but must be numerate and have a degree involving numeracy. Any financial background would be advantageous. In the past, we have recruited from finance, economics, science and engineering backgrounds. Progression to become a full Financial Adviser after two years in the role is encouraged, leading to substantially higher salary prospects. This role would comprise largely of: Preparation of information and reports to be provided to clients in support of the qualified Financial Advisers. Research of products and funds, and composition of appropriate research reports. Online switching of client funds. Dealing with administrative issues with financial services companies. Studying to achieve the Qualified Adviser status (DipPFS). Required qualities Part of our ethics is to take responsibility for client asset management, not to delegate to third parties. We provide recommendations which are wholly right for each client's individual needs, rather than those which are the most convenient for our business. You should be willing to build a good knowledge of different asset class characteristics and should take a personal interest in world economic news. Please note: We would expect applicants applying for this role, to have a mathematics based degree, with a minimum classification of 2:1. Alternatively, significant experience in the financial sector would be acceptable.
