Our client are looking for a strong Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant who is looking for their next step This role will give the chosen candidates exposure into a growing business and help them go into a qualified management accountant who will be based in Hoddesdon. This role will involve; Recording financial transactions. Handling accounts payable and receivable. Completing tax forms. Managing profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Maintaining company ledgers. Appropriately coding payable to prepare them for the accountant's input later. Preparing purchase orders in accordance with requests. Handling subsidiary accounts. Filing historical records and retrieving necessary documents as required by others. Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits. Preparing information for auditors. Keeping an annual company budget. Providing administrative and clerical support as needed. Dealing with the company payroll. Preparing VAT returns. Preparing schedules, statements and reports as requested. Recording assets and handling investments. The client will except the chosen candidates to have experience with; Good level of understanding of Microsoft Excel. Good level at Sage 200 Ability to work quickly and accurately. Ability to work to deadlines. The role will be paying between £28,000 - £35,000 Benefits, working hours are 9:30 - 6:30 with an hour lunch. The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training .
