Based in North Berwick, this growing company is seeking a Financial Controller to join its team. It claims a 96% success rate for its members. The business is looking for a qualified accountant to join as a Financial Controller. The new colleague will ideally come from an early-stage, fast-growth or scale-up business; one driven by SaaS platforms and Apps. The initial remit is hands-on as well as planning and forecasting, supporting C-suite with periodic and ad hoc reporting and global strategy. If you've risen through the ranks and are either an accountant looking for your first management position, or you are currently an FC (or equivalent) looking for a new and more entrepreneurial and commercial challenge. The company can offer this. To be successful in this Financial Controller role, you must be a qualified accountant with a UK professional qualification (or equivalent). The Financial Controller will be comfortable working with an Accounts Assistant and growing the team as the business grows. As the Controller, your responsibilities will include; - Oversee all company accounts - Create weekly, monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and forecasts - Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports - Supervise and manage Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper - Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback - Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing - Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported, overseeing and understanding ledgers, daybooks, cash books, bank accounts etc - Establish and implement reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation - Collaborate with auditing services - Develop budgets and plans for the company based on research and data reports - Review all plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities - Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations - Report to the Board with timely and accurate information - Assist the CEO in presenting reports and proposals to senior executives, stakeholders, investors and board members - Work with C-suite on Investor Roadshows and fundraising rounds - Present financials at Investor Roadshows and fundraising events - Work with C-suite on a future exit event for significant shareholders and Founders The business is growing rapidly with exciting new offerings and revenue streams in the pipeline.
