Your role The role will encompass a broad scope of responsibilities in supporting business line teams develop, market, assess concepts for new products, and analyse performance of mature products. Along with business partnering and traditional financial control activities, it will include the implementation of controls & management information reports across the firm, and reporting on performance of strategic tech alliances. The successful candidate will play a key role supporting product investment decisions from concept to market. This will include: Aid the roll-out of finance framework for Products & Solutions, including controls that will underpin the Product business and integrate with the broader finance team Develop a new suite of financial performance information with added dimensions and metrics suitable for a Product business. This will be for normal month end reporting cycle and other management activities (sales, costing, variance analysis). Provide financial visibility for the business to evaluate the investment case for a new product and monitor performance across the lifecycle including post investment reviews Providing financial advice and analysis to leadership on areas such as investment and capital expenditure, acquisitions, due diligence reports, business cases, financial models, post-investment reviews, pricing, staffing and business shape, partner performance reviews Work closely with the core Financial Controllers to incorporate correct Product financials into month end. Includes elements of management accounting to ensure compliance with revenue standards Management of other periodic finance processes for the Product business, including the annual planning process and year-end Provide ad-hoc guidance across Deloitte North South Europe on finance aspects of setting up a Products business. This role will be based from our London offices Work pattern: This is a full time 12 month fixed term contract opportunity. Your professional experience We would expect the successful candidate to have the following experience:
• Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Previous experience in management accounting or FP&A
• A mix of software and professional services accounting experience desired, but not essential
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the key factors which influence business performance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; developing strong relationships all levels of staff and partners with ability to influence where required
• Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to drive change and experience of leading initiatives from concept to implementation
• Energy and motivation; an enthusiastic and dedicated team player
• Excellent communication skills - experience of dealing with senior stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with ability to work on own initiative, and under pressure to meet deadlines
• Good IT knowledge and skills (strength in Excel essential)
