Our local authority client is looking for a Payment Assistant to help them in their Newbury offices on a temporary basis, reporting to the Payments Officer. Benefits - An hourly rate of £9.36 per hour plus holiday pay - Start date 25 November 2019 - Initially a 2 month assignment but likely to extend - 37 hour working week - Must be able to work over the Christmas period (not including bank holidays) - Friendly working environment - Car parking on site Key Tasks - Register, scan and process Accounts Payable invoices - Create and maintain supplier accounts - Check and sort payments for despatch to suppliers - Deal with enquiries from suppliers - Provide general administrative support to the Accounts Payable team Knowledge, Skills & Experience - 5 GCSEs including Maths and English - Experience in handling large volumes of data entry - Proficient numeracy skills - Good keyboard skills - ability to use Email and Outlook and web browser - Understanding of client confidentiality and deal with clients in a professional and caring manner - Be a team worker, flexible and helpful - Good telephone manner and able to communicate effectively with suppliers - Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and enjoy being busy - Good organisational skills To apply or for more information, please submit your CV
