Our client is an independent business with an international client base. The company is renowned for its quality products and has a growing reputation. Current t/o circa £16 Million per annum, although the company has ambitious expansion plans, so this could be a great time to join their team The newly created role of Management Accountant / Finance Analyst is based in their Surrey office, which is on the outskirts of Redhill. You will join a small but highly motivated Finance team and report directly to the Financial Controller. This is a key role within the team and may suit an ACCA or CIMA Part Qualified Accountant who now seeks a new challenge within a dynamic business. The main responsibilities are as follows: Maintaining and reconciling the general ledgers and resolving any queries arising. Supporting the production of period end accounts and the preparation of associated reports. Determining, analysing and interpreting key business drivers and performance measures. Designing and building management information reporting facilities and KPIs, to support key business and investment decisions, and help drive the commercial objectives of the business. Producing cost benefit analyses to help drive improvements to revenue and profits. Delivering a proactive analysis of period end reporting including the identification, investigation and explanation of variances against budget / forecast and review of risks and opportunities. Financial analysis of product costings for pricing decisions and contract viability. Engaging with internal stakeholders in ongoing cost reduction projects. Facilitating the budget setting process and contributing to the preparation of annual and medium-term business plans across the business. Identifying opportunities to improve working practices and processes in the Finance Team. Assisting with the implementation of accounting and financial policies and procedures, ensuring they are constantly reviewed, suggesting changes or development required. Experience Required Ideally part qualified / studying (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACMA) or equivalent experience Strong financial analysis skill and delivery focus; ability to take responsibility and execute projects Excellent interpersonal abilities, with the ability to engage with finance and non-finance staff Preferably operated within a high volume, fast moving SME environment Experience of / excellent understanding of FX, working in a variety of currencies The working hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. A guide salary bracket of £30,000 - £35,000 has been set by Fletcher George subject to level of study.
