Global Accounting Network are currently representing a Real Estate Investment business who have experienced rapid growth rates over the past 12 months. The business is in the middle of a large scale transformation project and looking to bring on a couple of additional resources to get them where they need to be. This requirement is for a Head of Financial Controls, reporting directly into the CFO with plenty of interactions across all department heads. The business has a complex structure with close to 100 active legal entities with AP/AR transactions. As the Head of Financial Controls, this position has been created in order to provide the Finance Business Partners with trustworthy and dependable figures for month end adjustments, analysis, decision making and forecasting. Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the sub-ledgers, ensuring they are correctly populated Clean up historical issues and ensure errors are not repeated moving forward Maintain timely accounting entries in-line with the business and system needs Ensure correct documentation and training for the AP & AR teams Oversee and review the following: Completion of the bank reconciliation process for all entities and all banks Review and confirmation of the current status of the opening balances from the migration journals Reconciliation of the VAT control accounts Ideal Candidate: Fully Qualified accountant with significant PQE Very strong technical accounting and transaction finance Experience cleaning up historical issues & developing teams Ideally FTSE 100/250 experience Property Estate Management exposure would be advantageous A mix of public and private sector
