My client is recruiting an experienced accountant to supplement their team. They are not a training office therefore, are not looking to recruit a part-qualified accountant who is looking to continue their training process within the Practice. My client are a two-partner practice in the Oldham area with six staff. The candidate needs: To have been working in an accountancy practice for a number of years Ideally AAT / ACCA / ACA Qualified You would be responsible for a portfolio of clients, liaising with the clients and porting to the assignment partner in each case Familiarity with FRS 102 is essential Experience using SAPA, PTP and Sage would be beneficial A clean driving licence would be appropriate as travel to clients will be a necessity. The workload may be broken down as follows: Limited companies - preparation of the financial statements and filing the final accounts at Companies House; preparation and submission of the corporation tax computations to HMRC preparation and submission of the directors' self-assessment tax returns (as appropriate). Sole traders and partnerships - preparation of the annual financial statements and the related tax returns. Submission of the tax returns to HMRC. Personal tax clients - preparation and submission of tax returns. Other - the preparation and submission of some VAT returns; preparation of management accounts; preparation of financial statements for other entities.
