Cordant People are working closely with an independent Chartered Accountancy firm in the surrounding area of Callander to assist them in sourcing a Qualified Accountant. Due to growth within the practice, our client is looking to add an Accountant who can use their initiative and positively contribute to the success of their existing team and company. You will be ACCA qualified however those who are currently working towards ACCA or Qualified-by-Experience will also be considered and you will have a minimum of 5 year's experience working in a Public Practice firm. You will have a working knowledge of the software package of Xero to be successful for this position. Your main duties will include: Preparing statutory accounts for your own portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations Assisting with payroll and bookkeeping responsibilities as required Managing client relationships Preparing accounts through to completion Working with Xero Previous experience working with Sage would be advantageous when working for smaller businesses however not essential.
