Financial Controller, Nr Annan, £50,000 - 65,000k, Car allowance, 25 days leave, company pension scheme We are looking for a diligent and experienced Financial Controller for our client in The Borders Region (Nr Annan) who is able to produce accurate management and financial information for all areas of the business, including monthly management accounts and year end annual accounts. We are looking to hire someone with technical financial and accounting input to the senior management team who will provide guidance, support, inspiration and leadership to staff within the department and the business. It is essential that you have experience of accounting in a manufacturing environment. We are looking for a real analyst who has strong attention to detail and can identify trends and exceptions from financial data with the ability to look at data from different perspectives. The ideal person will be a Part or Fully Qualified Accountant who has previous experience of managing staff. Key Responsibilities Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues related to the business. Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities including HMRC. Liaise with external advisors on the preparation of statutory financial information, including Auditors and Tax Accountants. Liaise with bank contacts with regards our multiple accounts, facilities, commercial credit cards, online banking etc. Prepare monthly accounts package (P&L, balance sheet etc.). Preparation of annual statutory Accounts. Preparation of Tax dues (VAT and PAYE) and CIS returns. Prepare Payroll figures ensuring accurate and timely payments are made to staff, appropriate deductions are made and P60 and P11d statements are produced. Produce short and long term Cashflow statements. Manage all insurance provision in liaison with insurance brokers. Develop the forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow). Review company internal controls with respect to financial procedures. Collate annual budget figures for the business, in collaboration with Department Heads. Apply for and manage Bonds and Guarantees. Responsible for the department budget and expenditure. Responsible for setting goals and targets for all department staff. Ensure effective and timely communication to staff of feedback from Senior Managers and facilitate communication from staff to Managers where appropriate. Develop, coach and mentor all staff within the department and carry out performance development reviews for all direct reports. Fleet Management. Key Performance Indicators
• Accurate and timely production of management and financial information.
• Clear and concise information provided to Senior Management Team and middle managers.
• Working to agreed timetables.
• Bringing financial management issues to the attention of Managing Director and/or SMT in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that all information contained within the Dimensions Dashboard is valid and accurate.
• Developing staff to their optimum performance and achieving improvements in the performance of the department.
• Business KPIs will be determined annually, in agreement with the Managing Director against which the performance of the department will be measured.
