Job Details

Michael Page are currently working in partnership with a Birmingham based Academy Trust to recruit a Finance Manager.

This role will lead with providing advice and support to a number of Academies within the Trust.

Client Details

Our client is a recently established Academy Trust and is based within Birmingham walking distance from local transport links.

Description

Finance Manager (reporting to a Head of Finance):

  • Production of the monthly management accounts
  • Provide sound financial advice to the schools in line with the appropriate regulations
  • Work with the Head of School and Head of Finance to produce the school financial budget
  • Full responsibility and completeness of the financial transactions for the Schools
  • Promote VfM across everything you have ownership for
  • Ensure staffing and all other related costs of the School(s) are accurate and in line with the budget
  • Keeping up to date with ESFA guidance and procedures and attending any relevant courses as necessary
  • Regular use of the Trusts PS Financial accounting software

Profile

Finance Manager:

  • CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent) or CIMA qualified candidate
  • You must hold at least 3 years working within a finance environment
  • Ability to produce monthly management accounts
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to offer financial advice to non finance stakeholders
  • Recent experience completing financial transactions
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Knowledge of PS Financials accounting software is desirable

Job Offer
