Our client is one of the largest housing associations in Europe, with nearly 100,000 homes in their portfolio. They invest heavily in the neighbourhoods in which they work, working with other organisations to deliver more affordable homes in London and other areas of the UK.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Group Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for:

• Producing statutory accounts and financial statements under FRS102 and Housing SORP 2018

• Producing monthly management accounts as required

• Full responsibility for the recording of accounting entries in subsidiary accounts

• Performing monthly reconciliations of the records on control accounts and intercompany balances

• Preparing information and liaising with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process

• Working closely with finance and non-finance colleagues, customers and other professionals dealing with the organisation

• Helping the group accountant to coordinate any group consolidation adjustments

Profile

You will be a qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) accountant, with evidence of statutory financial accounting and preferably experience of auditing the housing or construction industry. You will have experience of IFRS and FRS 102 reporting and will be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work. You should have strong IT and communication skills, with the ability to construct and maintain spreadsheets using advanced functions.
