An ICAEW and ACCA firm of chartered accountants which has been established for over 50 years and has 8 partners & 75 staff. They aim to be the 'go to' firm for small and medium sized businesses, and offer audit, accounts, management consultancy, payroll and taxation services. Their clients are from many different industries and range from self-employed individuals to large corporates operating nationally and internationally. Role Overview An opportunity has arisen to join the firm's Accounting Solutions department as an Accounts Senior. The department provides a wide range of services to clients, including accounts preparation, bookkeeping and the production of management accounts and information. The main duties will involve the preparation of statutory and management accounts along with VAT returns and reviewing bookkeeping work. Key Duties: Preparation of statutory accounts, year-end accounts, or rental accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts Preparation and submission of client VAT returns (including partial exemptions) Undertaking some bookkeeping on behalf of clients Assisting clients with queries, sometimes at their premises Providing support and training to junior team members Attend and participate in team meetings and attend training such as seminars and CPD updates as necessary Requirements: ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist Strong previous experience in accounts preparation, VAT and bookkeeping work 3 years' experience in practice Prior experience of using CCH, Sage, Quickbooks or Xero would be advantageous For more information please contact Jim Knott at Taylor Hawkes
