Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Partnership Tax Manager to join a Top 10 firm based in London. This role sits in the Financial Services Risk Assurance (FSRA) team, which is part of the wider Risk Assurance Services faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join an incredibly progressive firm and advance in your career. The role will include: Responsibility for a portfolio of partnership clients (some of which will be US parented and/or mixed membership) and members of those partnerships. These partnerships can be a mix of traditional professional practices (such as law firms, architects etc), alternative consultancy as well as Financial Services (such as Hedge Funds, Asset Managers and Private Equity). Reviewing partnership tax computations for partner final sign off and identifying planning opportunities. Dealing with ad hoc queries and one-off projects that arise. Good knowledge and practical understanding of composite non-resident filings required. Some clients may have corporate structures within the group. Reviewing the personal tax returns and dealing with any advisory work that arises. Partners may be non-UK resident or non-UK domiciled. Assisting with ad hoc projects and report writing, which will be focused on partnerships planning and advisory. These could include advice on operating structures, changes in existing structures, international expansion, remuneration structures and tax planning. Good knowledge of mixed membership partnerships, salaried members rules will be necessary. Overseeing HM Revenue & Customs enquiries, active financial management and administration / management issues of the portfolio. Supporting partners in formal proposals, presentations to intermediaries and writing articles. Business development and marketing of the partnership team alongside Directors and Partners. Supervising and training of junior staff; including appraisals and mentoring. You should be CTA and, ideally, ACA qualified with a minimum of 5 years' experience in partnership tax compliance or advisory role. Your CV should show specific examples of experience to date. Corporate Tax and Financial Services experience preferred. You should also be a team player, dynamic, ambitious, proactive and resilient, with a pro-active 'can-do' attitude and excellent written and oral communication skills.
