Job Details

A global infrastructure & real estate investment firm located in Central London are looking to recruit an accounts assistant. The role will offer full study support, training from day one and clear progression within a firm with a great culture. The client is ideally looking for a candidate with around 1 years core accountancy experience, preferably completed or studying towards AAT OR studying or ACCA/CIMA with strong A-Level grades.

Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processing of purchase invoices for various legal entities across the Amber Group, ensuring high level of accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensuring where necessary, invoices are in line with budget. Liaising with other staff members to resolve queries and issues.
  • Preparing fortnightly payment runs for various legal entities across the Amber Group
  • Assisting with raising sales invoices on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • AR allocation
  • Updating cashbooks on a weekly basis for various entities across the Amber Group
  • Monthly AP/AR reports - ensuring no misallocations, overdue payments etc
  • Monthly cashbooks, reports to be saved down
  • Updating petty cash monthly
  • KYC for new suppliers and completing new supplier set up forms
  • Assisting team members at quarter end and year end
  • Ad hoc work
  • Filing

Profile

Requirements:

  • AAT completed or near completion OR ACCA studier with a degree
  • 1 year of experience within a broad accountancy role (e.g. accounts assistant, finance assistant)
  • Strong A-Level grades (A's or B's preferably, would also look at 1x C grade or lower)
  • Team player
  • Ability to produce accurate work
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Confident - to be able to liaise with staff at all levels to resolve queries and questions
