Interim Tax Manager Opportunity for an FMCG group based in Weybridge

A multinational and prestigious FMCG group headquartered in Switzerland is seeking an interim Tax Manager to assist the Head of Tax in their Weybridge office on a 6 month assignment. This will be an 'all-rounder' type of role assisting in areas of Corporate Tax, VAT & Customs.

Roles and responsibilities include:

Corporation tax:

Calculation and approval of payments on account

  • Preparation & submission of CT600 tax returns to HMRC
  • Arrange the iXBRL accounts to be prepared by Tax Systems
  • Preparation & submission of the Corporate Interest Restriction / WWDC calculations
  • Submission of CbCR return to HMRC
  • Request & review of UK CFC information
  • Preparation & submission of Senior Accounting Offer notifications & certifications
  • Manage relationship with HMRC in relation to audits and queries

Requests for UK entities WHT residency certificates for trading partners Internal tax reporting and support including:

  • Preparation & submission of the quarterly tax reporting to JTI Preparation & submission of the tax reporting for LE (x2) and AP
  • Maintain UTP details updated for corporate accounting
  • Key account recs for all tax GL codes
  • Preparation of statutory accounts disclosure notes JSOX controls
  • Preparation & submission of annual Entity Tax Compliance Reports (ETCRs) to JT
  • Support & review of the transfer pricing documentation for the entities
  • Support the business with corporation tax advice
  • Support regional tax director with UK tax issues
  • Support JT tax team with JCFC / UK tax queries
  • Review and support the tax reporting and compliance of JTI Ireland Limited

VAT & Customs:

  • Review & approval of UK VAT returns of Gallaher Group and JTI RMS
  • Review & approval of monthly Intrastat returns & EC sales lists
  • Review & approval of monthly VAT payments
  • Key account recs for all VAT GL codes
  • Support the business with VAT & SAP coding advice
  • Liaison with HMRC in relation to audits & queries
  • Manage the IDT manual and ensure it is reviewed & updated annually
  • JSOX controls
  • Arrange & document monthly IDT meetings
  • Support the business with IDT / commodity code / Import & Export advice Liaise with Group Tax IDT team

In return you will receive a day rate of £350.
