General Ledger Accountant role for Theale business

Your new company
My client is a technology business based in Theale, with onsite parking and good public transport links. They are looking for an intuitive, process driven candidate to join their rapidly growing EMEA team.

Your new role

• Responsibility for G/L accounting and Balance Sheet reconciliations across a range of entities in EMEA
• Assistance with our monthly/quarterly and annual close(s) to tight deadlines and assistance with reporting same to US parent
• Assisting with local audit requirements including statutory accounts and tax filings
• Providing commercially astute financial advice and high quality commercial analysis to aid and support decision making
• Multiple ad-hoc projects as required in a fast paced acquisitive environment
• Commissions accounting
• Royalty accounting
• Accounts Receivable reporting
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and submission of UK VAT return
• Statutory accounting assistance
• Australian payroll/tax assistance
• SEC schedules/Lease Schedules
• RFP requests
• Adhoc Projects

What you'll need to succeed

• Part Qualified ideally
• Strong excel experience
• Demonstrable success in a similar role, with operating experience within the finance functions of a European technology company
• US GAAP experience in a software/technology environment is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of financial controls and financial systems
• Shared Service Centre experience
• Previous exposure to a fast paced, acquisitive environment would be useful
