Job Details
Support the preparation of the Group's externally reported Financial Statements and ownership of the preparation of the statutory Financial Statements of the Group's subsidiaries.
Own and deliver the majority of the Group's regulatory reporting.
Support the wider Finance team on strategic projects, ad-hoc financial analysis and accounting queries.

Description
- Support the preparation of the Group's Financial Statements ensuring adherence to IFRS
- Own the preparation of the subsidiary Financial Statements ensuring adherence to IFRS
- Support the preparation of the quarterly High Yield Bond reporting deliverables
- Ownership of key reporting deliverables to external parties, including trade associations, private equity industry bodies and regulatory bodies
- Maintain good relations with the external auditors through the compilation, analysis and presentation of high quality financial information and appropriate documentation
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to the Financial Control Framework
- Identify and solve financial reporting issues and risks that arise within the area, preparing technical or judgement papers where necessary to support the approach taken
Additional Accountabilities
- Participate in strategic priorities, providing reporting and technical accounting guidance to support timely delivery of projects
- Partnering with the wider Finance team to provide financial reporting and technical accounting support
Profile
Candidate Profile
ESSENTIAL
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Good experience and technical working knowledge of key IFRS relevant to statutory Financial Statements preparation
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- IT literate with good excel and word skills
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of the operations of Financial Services companies
- Experience and knowledge of key IFRS specific to Financial Services companies
- Regulatory reporting experience

- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Aware of risks and control issues and responds to them quickly, escalating issues where necessary
- Strong communicator with an ability to listen to and communicate with different levels of internal and external stakeholders, including the external auditors
- Comfortable with challenging others
- Ability to work unsupervised, with high level of self-motivation
